A Bit About Me

me5_edited.jpg

I’m a Second Year PhD student in HCC @ Georgia Institute of Technology, advised by Dr. Naveena Karusala,. My research interests lie at the intersection of human-centered AI and healthcare, specifically in studying and designing equitable and culturally appropriate AI systems using participatory and community-based approaches.

Previously, I was a Research Tech Specialist at the Collective Action and Research for Equity (CARE) Lab, led by Dr. Azra Ismail. My work with Dr. Ismail centered on applying Human-Centered Research approaches to study LLM-based platforms for women’s health, specifically for underserved communities.

I hold a Master’s degree in Human-Centered Design and Engineering from the University of Michigan and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science and Engineering from Sri Padmavati Mahila Viswavidyalayam, India. Previously, I worked as a UI/UX Engineer at Epsilon and as a Software Engineer at IBM India, where I specialized in IoT-based applications.

Leveraging my background in design, engineering, and social impact research, my motivation lies in designing AI systems that are more human-centered and truly aware of the contexts they exist in.
